Sitting in traffic, waiting in line at the grocery checkout, long business meetings - you have enough time-wasters in your life. Your PC shouldn't be one of them. A slow computer just wastes your time. A fast one helps you get things done.

A lot of factors can slow down your PC, but registry errors and memory problems are among the top culprits. Addressing those problems can significantly speed up your computer's performance in just a matter of minutes.

Cleaning your PC's registry is an important maintenance task - one many of us overlook. In Windows, the registry is a virtual directory that stores settings and options for the entire operating system, from hardware to software, users and preferences. When you change something in your PC's control panel settings, install or remove software, create or delete a shortcut, you change the registry. Over time, errors naturally occur and they can slow down your computer.

Memory can be another problem area, and it's one a lot of people find confusing. Most of us don't add memory to our PCs; we live with the amount the computer had when it came out of the box. Used optimally, that amount of memory is usually sufficient. Problems occur, however, in the RAM (your PC's equivalent of human short-term memory).

When you launch a program the computer assigns a certain amount of RAM to run the software. When you close the program, the PC doesn't always free up that RAM. Sometimes, it continues to hold that RAM in reserve. Unless you shut down your computer every day, the RAM slowly dwindles and your PC slows down.

Fortunately, it's not that hard to address these problems and speed up your computer. You'll need to install and run registry cleaning software and a memory optimizer - inexpensive fixes that take just minutes to accomplish.

Registry cleaning software, like Advanced Registry Optimizer (ARO 5), can quickly and easily "clean" your registry with a single mouse click. ARO 5 deep scans 12 broad categories where registry errors commonly occur, including user software settings, system software settings, the fonts section, invalid file associations, run sections, sound and applets, the uninstall section, the help section, virtual device drivers and services and the application paths section.

MemTurbo 4 memory manager can optimize your PC's memory. The software runs in the background whenever your computer is on, continually tweaking how memory is allocated. The software helps improve performance and speed of other programs, optimizes the performance of your memory, reclaims lost memory resources, recovers RAM leaks, and manages system memory and virtual memory. The program also features a wizard that makes it easy for novices to use, but is also flexible enough to allow advanced users to customize and control their MemTurbo 4.

ARO 5 is just $29.95. Manufacturer Sammsoft offers free trials of ARO 5 and customers who purchase the registry cleaner can get $10 off the price of MemTurbo too.
